A few of you have asked about XC Racing this year and who's doing what.

There seems to be a large group of us now doing some or all of the Nutcracker Races http://www.nutcrackermtb.co.uk/races.html. 4 Rounds, 1st one is at Easter and they're all local as in NE England. You don't need a race license unless you're counting towards BC Points. Variety of categories to suit all abilities. I think all rounds still have space. Maybe we'll set up threads nearer the time for lift share etc.

BMB Series http://www.britishxc.co.uk/index.php?op ... &Itemid=21 is the main National Series. 5 Rounds. You've missed the 1st Round already and Round 2 (Dalby) is full so you'll have to wait and be prepared to travel to the rest. These are top quality races with most of our UK National level riders competing so worth spectating if you can't join in. They do have categories for all and you only need a race license if you want national points or a series standing.

There's another 4 race series over at Lee Quarry near Manchester each year which is much more low key and uses an old Quarry so good fun. No license or anything just race against your mates or others in your category. http://www.brownbacksracing.co.uk/ There's even a few prizes dished out for race and series results.

Other than that keep an eye on www.XCRacer.com which is a good source for XC Racing.
