Sunday 17th July 2011: Massif Central

To fit both in they've moved the traditional mountain-finish one forward. So if you plan to grovel up the Galibier and Alpe d'Huez, then watch the pros do it much more quickly and easily, you'll be waiting around for the best part of two weeks to make the comparison. Or you could head over to the Pyrenees, to watch the stages there, then back via the Massif Central. Still, I've been waiting for a proper Alpine edition of the Etape du Tour, so I may enter this one (if it looks like I'll still have a job to pay for it.)
Good news, registration will be "online" (hopefully with payment options that don't require a French credit card) rather than via some cut-out form in the back of an obscure French magazine, or via an expensive tour operator.
