Who is coming?!

There was a low turnout of only 5 riders for Grassington, the weather was rubbish so you all made a wise choice! It would be good to get a whole group together for this one though, and make a proper weekend of it.

----------
Sunday 1st August

The fourth round of the Chain Reaction Cycles MTB Marathon will take us to Selkirk (Scottish Borders), offers four different courses so that everyone can choose the most suitable riding distances. The event features the marathon typical mass start at 10.00am on Sunday morning. Riders can choose between the beginner friendly 25-30km Mini Marathon, the more challenging 40-50km Half Marathon of the challenging yet fun packed 60-75km Mid Marathon and the full length Marathon which is in between 80-100km.

Your entry fee includes:
• Entry into the MTB Marathon (start: 10.00am on the 1st August)
• Free pasta party
• Free camping from Friday to Monday
• Free parking
• Free usage of service stations
• Free usage of facilities
• Free skills and riding tuitions (provided by Cycle Active)
• Finishing T-shirt/present

Afraid I won't be doing this one - family get together.....

The weather at Grassington was horrendous, however I felt it was my most enjoyable ride of the year. It was like my bike and I were in perfect sync.

OK I did opt for the middle marathon, as I noticed the two extra steep hills on the full marathon.

I plan to do Ruthin in September.

Hi Steph,

I don't know if I'm too late to reply to this, if I'm not and I'd it would be ok I'd love to tag along and have a bash at one of the easier routes.
