Just a quick plug for this event in case you haven't seen it.
It's a friendly end of season 'Time Trial' up a hill and the 1 event when we can rub shoulders with our roadie cousins.
MTBs are welcome and there's an award for the fastest MTB to do the course each year. Kieran's time last year of 7.15 worried some of the leading roadies and I think will remain the time to beat for a few years.

Any takers?
Club Hill Climb Competition - 4th October

The hill climb was a good event again, with increasing numbers worth doing just to see how much you have improved year on year. Hard but at least shorter than a full time trial! (5 1/2 to 11 mins, depending on steed and ability) Paul and Seb did well on their mountain bikes, I did it on my wife's race bike (as I did it on a race bike last year and wanted to see how fit I was).
I managed slightly better than last year which was surprising as I had a bad chest infection/virus over the summer, so not as fit. Then again last year I was hungover and was using a heavier bike.
Thanks to Paul and Seb for leading me round some new Trails in Dalby forest afterwards on a lovely day.
